In a three-part series of shorts, former Sudburian Mark Callingham examines something “that could change the world.”
Cash Is Make Believe makes its world premiere at Fromagerie Elgin Sept. 3. Doors open at 7:15 p.m., then the screening begins at 8. Callingham will be on hand afterwards to answer audience questions and engage them in discussion about the film.
He said the film is centred around a “common sense solution” to a more fair and just monetary system.
While he no longer lives in Sudbury, Callingham said the film was created here. He had the script ready to go for quite some time before connecting with an old friend Brent Wohlberg. Wohlberg agreed to put together the film from a technical side, and a crew of other locals helped by acting and dancing in the spoken-word production.
“Sudbury is a place where things can happen,” Callingham said.
