After a busy summer on the road promoting their new release Mindemoya, Pistol George Warren is looking forward to taking part in two important industry conferences.

In October, members of the nine-piece country/soul band will be part of Toronto's Indie Week Canada, as well as the Ontario Council of Folk Festivals Conference in Mississauga.

Performers at Indie Week Canada are judged by industry professionals and the top acts compete at the finals for a chance to win a showcase at Indie Week Ireland.
“The band mostly looks forward to playing to new audiences and networking with the Toronto industry,” PGW stated in a press release.

At the OCFF Conference, the band will be able to take in industry panels on various topics related to the music industry in Canada, and showcase their talents to conference delegates.

The hometown group, which takes one part Motown and one part Nashville, has “bonded and blended on stage over the years, becoming a close knit but large group of laughin’, groovin’, and stompin’ comrades.”

Mindemoya is their follow-up LP to Back To Northern Country. The album was recorded on the shores of Lake Kagawong on Manitoulin Island.
