The Celtic Festival has gotten bigger and better throughout the last five years. Thanks to financial support from Peddlers Pub, that tradition can continue.

On Oct. 5, Chris Gainer of Peddlers presented Derek Young, president and producer of the festival, and Glenn Thibeault, Sudbury NDP MP and chieftain of the games, with a $2,000 cheque. The money will be used to continue the growth of the festival in 2013.

"The contributions from Peddler's Pub are much appreciated and demonstrates their commitment to the community," Young stated. "The funds will be applied to the general operating of the festival for expenses such as marketing, programming, on site logistics and planning.

"We are very grateful for their contributions.  Peddler's Pub was the official pub sponsor in 2008 for the inaugural Celtic Festival. This year we are pleased to have strengthened our relationship with the pub.  This year Peddlerss was the official pub sponsor and increased their financial contribution to the festival."
