The Northern Echoes Senior Choir is looking for new voices.

The seniors choir, which has been singing golden oldies since 1995, volunteers to sing in the community at nursing homes, hospitals and everywhere else they are requested.

Choir member Carmen Flesch said the “family” of voices enjoys the opportunity to get involved with the community.

“Our reward is when our audience flashes a welcoming smile as they recognize the songs they once sang or when toe-tapping is heard during a performance,” she stated.

Those who sing alto, tenor, soprano or bass are invited to “come strike a chord and join the chorus.”

Rehearsals take place Wednesdays from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the ParkSide Centre on Durham Street.

Anyone interested in learning more about the chorus can contact Jeannine Longe at 705-693-2122.
