Sudbury's own zombie portrait artist is hard at work on yet another undead project.

Rob Sacchetto has been working on Cape Fear for more than a decade, and is hoping to bring the 150-page work to life in the near future.

He is using IndieGogo to fund the project.

“I’m not asking for a handout — far from it,” Sacchetto stated. “I’m basically offering preorders via an IndieGogo campaign. IndieGogo enables artists to make the most of something called ‘crowd sourcing’ where fans and readers support a project by pledging.

"In return you get awesome prizes and really awesome stuff. For example, for as little as $25 you can get a hard copy of the graphic novel or, for the same price, you can get a digital version and custom personalized artwork.”

Sacchetto said this is “an all-or-nothing campaign.”

“If I don’t meet my goal, no money will change hands and this graphic novel will not make it to print,” he said.

Anyone interested in supporting the project is welcome to visit www.zombieportraits.com.
