Sudburian offers national prize for indie artists

Cindy O'Neil created the Vocal Vibes podcast for the simple purpose of sharing good Canadian music.

Since 2007, she has been giving independent artists a platform for their product, where they can be heard around the world.

Now the Sudburian is taking it a step further — offering the Vocal Vibes Artist of the Year award. Everyone is invited to check out music from the artists featured on the show and cast a vote for their favourite, who will take home an award and a $100 gift card from Canada Disc.

“The Vocal Vibes Podcast is a gateway to introduce indie artists to a new audience,” said O’Neil.

“Their music has been a big part of the shows' appeal and I want to celebrate that. I created the award as a tangible way to say thank you to the artists while hopefully giving them a bit of a leg up with the prize. By saying yes to me playing their music on my show they are a nominee in the running to win.”
