From the planet Ummo comes two horrifying and dark clowns.

From Jan. 17-19, Mump and Smoot are making a special appearance at Sudbury Theatre Centre with their darkly funny show aptly titled Something.

The show stars Michael Kennard as Mump and John Turner, a northern native, as Smoot. The two worship a god named Ummo, speak their own brand of gibberish and together, turn every convention about clowns upside down.

Their latest show, which was written by Kennard and Turner, features plenty of blood, gore, severed limbs and ranges from zany to macabre, according to STC.

Tickets to the shows, which run nightly at 8 p.m., are now available. They cost $35 for adults, $31.50 for STC subscribers and $25 for students.
