Hiking with Rainbow Routes

Rainbow Routes is once again hitting the trails for their monthly Hike Club adventure.

On Feb. 2, the club is meeting at the Rainbow Routes trail head sign at Science North. From there, the walk will go to the Living With Lakes Centre, where they will break for hot chocolate, before venturing back via the Ramsey Lake Path.

Since parking at Science North is limited, Rainbow Routes suggests hikers plan to park at the Boat Launch or at the parking lot at the corner of Paris and York Streets.

Hikers should wear snowshoes, sturdy footwear and weather-appropriate clothing as hikes run in all but the worst of weather.

Rainbow Routes has a limited amount of snowshoes available to borrow, free of charge.

To book a pair of snowshoes or for additional information, please call the Hike Club Hotline at 705-674-4455 ext. 2474, email samantha.baulch@sudbury.ca or visit www.rainbowroutes.com.
