A group of young people will be showcasing their talents at the premiere Creative Youth Festival.

On Feb. 10, members of the Sudbury Youth Rocks Program will showing off their musical or visual art skills.

“It's all about kids,” said Joel Mackey, director of the program. “There are some amazingly talented young people in our community and we'd like to allow them a chance to showcase their various artistic talents whether it be music, drawing or crafts.”

An open mic is slated to take place from 2-5 p.m., with performances by Summer Perron and Steve Chevrier, Phantastic, Levelout and local metal band Set.

The proceeds from this event will help finance the teen suicide prevention videos Sudbury Youth Rocks has undertaken with the help of the United Way.
