“Oh my gosh, I thought that was really Ryan,” countless people whispered to each other as a cardboard cut-out of the Hollywood celebrity passed by.

On Feb. 8, Northern Life brought a two-dimensional life-size version of Ryan Reynolds to a number of local hotspots. The not-so-real Reynolds was spotted at Laurentian University, Science North, the Big Nickel, downtown and the New Sudbury Centre.

While he was obviously fake, people were still excited to see him. He posed with nearly 100 people on his adventures.

The real Reynolds is currently in Sudbury, filming a movie called Queen of the Night. While he has been spotted around town, he has yet to make any official appearences or public statements.

According to IMDB.com, the movie is about a father trying to track down his kidnapped daughter. Directed by Atom Egoyan, the film also features Rosario Dawson and Scott Speedman.

Stay turned to NorthernLife.ca for more on Reynolds and the film as it becomes available.
