This year's Sudbury Symphony Orchestra gala is set to carry on the Austrian theme of the orchestra's last show.
Midnight & Mozart: An Austrian Affair, is taking place Feb. 16 at Bryston's On The Park. An Austrian-inspired dinner will be served following a champagne reception, which features performances from a Sudbury Symphony Orchestra string trio, as well as the gypsy jazz ensemble Hugh Jazz.
An impressive silent auction is also lined up, with prizes like signed memorabilia from Justin Bieber, Mario Lemieux, James Taylor, Elton John and Billy Joel, as well as weekend getaways, theatre packages and golf retreats.
Proceeds from the gala will go to support the orchestra's education and outreach programs. Funds raised at last year's event helped the orchestra reach out to 2,500 young people in the community.
Tickets to the gala cost $100. They can be purchased by phoning 705-673-1280.
