Local entrepreneur Leeanna Homer is making this Valentine's Day about more than just loved ones — she is spreading some of the love to the Sudbury Food Bank.

The young chocolatier, who has revived her grandparents' long dormant chocolate company Heart's Desire, is making chocolate-dipped strawberries, bananas and cherries with proceeds supporting the Sudbury Food Bank.

The dipped fruit can be purchased in two different sized trays, “perfect for loved ones or to be shared at the office,” a media release stated. Packages range from $20 to $40.

Orders can be picked up at the Sudbury Food Bank on Webbwood Drive, or at one of three Metro Grocery stores, located on Lasalle, the South End and Valley East, that have provided locations for pick-up from now until Feb. 14 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

More information, and order forms, can be found by visiting www.sudburyfoodbank.ca.
