Taking place throughout the Lenten season, the festival will showcase films that explore themes like sacrifice, violence and redemption.
“This is the second year Thorneloe University has hosted a Faith and Film Series to explore the presence and portrayal of religious themes in mainstream film,” a media release stated.
“Each film will be introduced by a faculty member at Thorneloe University and will be followed by discussion.”
Films playing include:
Feb. 27 – Waking Ned Devine
March 6 – Match Point
March 13 – A History of Violence
March 20 – Pan's Labyrinth
March 27 – Tideland
Each screening is free, and begins at 7 p.m. at the Fielding Memorial Chapel of St. Mark at Thorneloe University.
