Best known for his work with “Northern Ontario's best party band,” Toe Jam Tequilia, but acclaimed for his French project “Le Paysagiste,” he's a musician's musician who's played with groups like Konflit Dramatik and Les Chaizes Muzikales, but also an entertainer who has been musical director for Canada Day celebrations at Science North and for St-Jean Baptiste Day celebrations in Sudbury.
This Saturday though, he's trying something new.
Poulin is hosting his first-ever solo acoustic performance and he's doing it in downtown Sudbury's charming little cheese shop, La Fromagerie Elgin.
“I'm pretty excited about it,” Poulin told Northern Life in an email. “I rarely get a chance to do this sort of thing.”
The bilingual evening will feature original songs, as well as some of Poulin's favourite covers by CCR, Johnny Cash, The Tragically Hip, Michael Jackson, Blondie, Prince, Cano and Harmonium.
The performance is free, but throw a little something in when Poulin passes the hat around.
