Theatre Cambrian president Rod Bazinet made the announcement Sept. 25.
“As our production of Les Misérables draws closer, we are fortunate enough to have both Kevin and Justine perform a special fundraising concert for us,” Bazinet said.
Both Closs and Giles have a history with Theatre Cambrian. Closs has performed the title role in both productions of “Jesus Christ Superstar” Theatre Cambrian has mounted, while Giles has been a regular in the theatre’s acoustic coffee house concert series.
Closs is a Northern Ontario-based singer-songwriter from Manitoulin Island. Since 1989, he has worked as a recording and performing artist, releasing 10 independent CDs and playing concerts, festivals and clubs across the country.
Giles is a singer-songwriter from Sudbury. In 2012, she made her television debut on “The Episode,” her Internet debut at the TEDx Nickel City event and her press debut in Simplified Living Magazine and the book “We Live Up Here.” Her first album is set to be released in late 2013.
Tickets for "An Evening With Kevin Closs" are $15 each and include a pasta dinner. The show is Oct. 4 at Theatre Cambrian. All funds raised will go to support Theatre Cambrian’s production of “Les Misérables.”
