Welcome Matt and Sunnyside Paris will perform a benefit concert in support of Sudbury Minga for Maasai Nov. 2.

The event starts at Bryston’s on the Park at 6 p.m.

Welcome Matt, consisting of Paul Dunn, Sarah Craig-Matt and Jim Matt, performs as a songwriter's circle featuring many songs the trio has written in the past two years - some light reggae, pop, blues, Motown, and lots of harmonies.

Sunnyside Paris plays charming renditions of Django Reinhardt’s classics from jazz standards to “Djang-o-fied” versions of their own compositions. Paul Dunn, Sarah Craig-Matt, Don Leuschen, Tom Linklater and Gary Disalle deliver a jazz show that swings.

Tickets to the event cost $70 and are available at Gloria’s Convenience and Videos and Vrab’s Independent Grocer or by contacting Lori Adams at 705-522-2018 or [email protected].

Sudbury Minga for Maasai supports Free the Children's Adopt a Village Project (AAV) in Pimbiniet, Kenya, which strives to provide villagers with the knowledge, skills and tools to create their own sustainable future.

This includes education, clean water, health and sanitation, alternative income, agriculture and food security. To date, Sudbury Minga for Maasai partners have collectively raised $138,000.
