She will visit Sudbury's Fromagerie Elgin Nov. 7 to promote her album.
Written on a creaky front porch in Wells, B.C., and recorded in her native Toronto, the record combines the quiet intimacy of the Canadian Cariboo region with upbeat sing-alongs
evocative of the big city bustle.
Produced by Don Kerr (Ron Sexsmith, Rheostatics), the album is a departure from previous releases, as Ellis takes risks that result in a vibrant yet disarming collection of songs.

The event takes place starting at 8:30 p.m. Tickets cost $15. To purchase tickets, phone 705-675-1000.
