Local dancer Samantha Grano is heading to New York City this Christmas to attend Broadway Bound’s Winter Intensive program.

Fourteen-year-old Grano, who dances locally at Project Dance, won the dance scholarship at the 2013 spring Fever Dance Champions in Markham.

“I’m very much looking forward to attending this prestigious workshop in New York City this Christmas,” she said.

Broadway Bound allows dancers the opportunity to experience New York's professional dance world while training with the industry's best.

Founded in 2004 by Be Discovered Inc. Talent Director Diana Uribe, the program was created for dancers who dream about going to New York to train, attend shows and network with other dancers, choreographers, stars, agents and leading industry decision makers.
