The Puckhogs score Top 10 in song quest

The results are in, and The Puckhogs' song “For the Love of the Game” is in the top 10 in the nationwide CBC Hockey Night in Canada Song Quest contest. The group is made up of local singer-songwriters Sean Barrette, Chris Leblanc and Brent Wohlberg.

The results are in, and The Puckhogs' song “For the Love of the Game” is in the top 10 in the nationwide CBC Hockey Night in Canada Song Quest contest.

The group is made up of local singer-songwriters Sean Barrette, Chris Leblanc and Brent Wohlberg. Their song has beaten out about 1,000 other tunes to get this far in the contest.

The third round of voting lasts until Dec. 30 at 11:59 p.m. The winner will be announced Jan. 1, 2014 during the Hockey Night in Canada Winter Classic.

The winner will record a studio version of your song with Canadian rocker Joel Plaskett. Then, their track will air in a prime-time montage at the beginning of a Hockey Night in Canada broadcast.
