Darius – Intruders Productions Inc. is looking for 50 young adults between the ages of 18 and 25 from all backgrounds to play extras in a feature-length thriller being shot in Sudbury.

The extras would be part of a party scene set in a beautiful residential party room with a pool. The scene is set to be shot during the week of Feb. 3.

Northern Background Casting will be holding a second round of auditions from 4-6 p.m. Jan. 10 on the Laurentian University Campus on the main floor of the West Residence in room W-130.

Janine Oloman and Trish Rainone will be selecting outgoing and charismatic participants to bring a burst of energy to the pool party scene.

Young individuals who may be interested in splashing around in the pool, are asked to show up with their favorite swimwear and a towel so they may audition as they will be seen in the film.

Trish and Janine are hoping to add to the list of interested parties that they selected during the last auditions that were held late last year.

“The Intruders” is a film about a girl who has just arrived in Chicago when strange things start happening inside her new home – which may or may not be haunted. The lead actress of the film is a well known young TV celebrity.

“The Intruders” starts shooting next week in Sudbury. This week the production team is gearing up to be prepared for a fun month of winter shooting. This is one of many films to come to Sudbury this year with the support of the NOHFC.

Background Preforming is a way that many industry professionals have been introduced to filmmaking. A days of work as an extra can give insight into whether working on set appeals to you as an actor or a crew member.

Many extras are shocked to see the degree of planning and elaborate lighting set ups involved in creating a film.

Anyone interested in becoming a film extra on this project or in the future is encouraged to e-mail [email protected] and become a part of their growing database of background performers.
