Theatre Cambrian has taken the chart toppers from its two Best of Broadway concerts, and brought them together for its The Best of the Best concert, being presented Feb. 6-22.

“This concert has been five years in the making,” said Theatre Cambrian executive director Mark Mannisto.

“We have compiled the best chart toppers from our two best of Broadway concerts and included the top hits from our three Best of Billboard concerts, and we have the best that there is to offer.”

Not only is this concert a rock show, a jazz concert, a country hoe-down and a mosh pit all in one, but it has hints of some of Broadway’s greatest hits such as "The Lion King" and "Phantom of the Opera" with "Mary Poppins" mixed in.

There is something for everyone.

“We want to capture that same feeling yet again,” he said.

“It will be all new songs, all new artists but the same great party, with glow sticks to boot.”

Some of the artists to whom Theatre Cambrian will pay tribute include Garth Brooks, Neil Diamond, Lady Gaga, Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley, Madonna, Shania Twain and Kiss.

“You will never see a concert like this one, in Sudbury, for a long, long time,” Mannisto said.

The presentation takes place at Theatre Cambrian's building at 40 Eyre St.

Advanced ticket prices are $30 for adults, $25 for seniors and students and $20 for children 13 and under.

Tickets may be purchased at the Theatre Cambrian office located at 40 Eyre Street or by phoning 705-524-7317. Online orders are available at theatrecambrian.ca
