LOL Festival: Finalists set to battle for Crown of Comedy

Get ready to watch some of Northern Ontario's most hilarious people compete to tickle your funny bone at the annual LOL Sudbury Crown of Comedy.

Hosted by Yuk Yuk's Tony Krolo and judged by a panel of professional comedians — including last year's winner, Dave Atkinson — the competition hits the stage at Little Montreal on Feb. 5, starting at 7:30 p.m.

Competing to for the crown this year are:

Robert Simoneau
Frank Russo
Clint Gibbons
Francis Hanover
Doug Bies
Clint Couchie

Besides the pay off of a good laugh, the finalists compete to win $2,500.

Tickets are still available, but are going fast, festival organizers said today. Cost is $15 (including HST) and can be purchased by calling 705-688-1234, visiting lolsudbury.com or at LOL Sudbury’s box office at 40 Larch Street, Suite 103.

Tickets will also be available an hour before show time at the LOL Sudbury box office at Little Montreal and reservations can be made for groups of eight or more.
