Project 10 and Project 10 Kids is a weight-loss and fitness challenge programs that reward participants for achieving their fitness goals.

“ Obesity is the biggest threat to our physical well-being and the fastest –growing cause of preventable death,” said Sandra Duhamel, challenge organizer. “Our goal is to help 200 people lose 10 pounds or gain 10 pounds of muscle.”

For every 10 pounds participants lose, 30 meals will be donated to the Salvation Army, with the ultimate goal of donating 6,000 meals.

A free information session will be held Feb. 8 at 11 a.m. at Body Balance Studio in the Valley View Community Church building at 2891 Martin Road in Blezard Valley.

Other information sessions will be held Feb. 16, 7:00 p.m., at 1563 Sandra Crt in Val Caron and Feb. 17, 1 p.m., at Skiplyn Kennel for Dogs Training Centre, Garson-Coniston Road in Garson.
