Sudbury native Marida Mohammed is still in the running for the $100,000 first prize up for grabs on MasterChef Canada.

She's now made it to the top seven in the show.

Coming up on the next episode of MasterChef Canada, set to air at 8 p.m. March 31 on CTV, the top seven face a mystery box challenge that pits them against a teeming tank of Nova Scotia lobsters.

“The competitor who gets the most creative with their crustaceans wins not one but two huge advantages in a very unique elimination challenge,” a press release from CTV said.

“Skill is paramount, but so is communication in a tense tag-team challenge with surprising results.”
