Youth orchestra explores Rock and Roll's early days

The Sudbury Youth Orchestra's April 13 concert, “For Those About to Rock,” takes the audience on a journey from the early days of Rock and Roll to the present, exploring its influence on today’s performers and composers.

The Sudbury Youth Orchestra's April 13 concert, “For Those About to Rock,” takes the audience on a journey from the early days of Rock and Roll to the present, exploring its influence on today’s performers and composers.

Strings, keyboard, drums and electric guitars combine in renditions of classic rock tunes by Elvis, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Queen and many more for a concert that is guaranteed to rock.

The performance takes place starting at 7 p.m. at St. Andrew’s Place.

Tickets, which are available at Vrab’s Your Independent Grocer, the Cambrian College Book Store and at the door, cost $15 for general admission and $12 for students and seniors.
