An interactive public performance by a theatre troupe tackling the topic of discrimination against those with mental illness is being postponed until the fall.

The performance was originally supposed to take place May 5 starting at 5 p.m. in the food court at the Rainbow Centre Mall, but it's being postponed due to an illness in the organizer's family.

Theatre of the Oppressed involves actors putting on skits featuring scenes of discrimination, and audience members intervening to change the outcome of the scene so the oppression doesn't happen in the first place.

The troupe will continue to meet monthly for practices, with the next meeting taking place May 26.
