If Neil Diamond has a special place in your heart, you may want to take in Joey Purpura’s tribute to the legendary singer.

The Loyal Order of the Moose Sudbury Lodge 230 is staging the Neil Diamond Tribute Show on May 17, starting at 8 p.m.

This fundraiser will help the lodge continue supporting community initiatives. It was announced this past March that Lodge 230 received $80,000 from the Ontario Trillium Fund to broaden access to free, accessible and safe play areas for children by installing a splash pad in Victory Park in the Donovan neighbourhood.

The Neil Diamond Tribute show features Joey Purpura who shares the life story of Diamond through song and impersonation. He has been performing this show across Canada since 2004.

“I tell a story and highlight his life just to make it more interesting,” said Purpura in a release.

Stan Snow, administrator for the Moose Lodge is expecting a good crowd for the show. Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door.

For more information or to purchase tickets call 705-675-8605.
