Artists on Elgin features the work of Kathy Dolan this August in an exhibit that looks at life from the trees' point of view.

Entitled “Life's a Birch,” Dolan said her exhibit is like conversation with nature in watercolour, acrylic, pastels and more.

“Life's a Birch is a dialogue in nature from a trees-eye view,” said Dolan. “Imagine as you walk through the forest that you're a tree. What would you be thinking? What wood you say?”

The show opens at Artists on Elgin on Aug. 2 from 1-4 p.m. and runs through August. Dolan will be speaking at the reception, talking about her inspiration for her work.

“This show bring you front and centre with nature,” said Courtney Natale, business promotions co-ordinator for Artists on Elgin. “If you're stuck working this summer instead of being at the camp, this exhibit provides the perfect break to reconnect with the outdoors.”

Artists on Elgin is located at 168 Elgin Street and is open Monday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
