There's a second Sudbury connection to the upcoming season of reality television show The Bachelor Canada.

Renée-Anne Montpellier, one of the bachelorettes on the show vying for the affections of bachelor Tim Warmels, is an emergency room doctor currently doing her residency in Sherbrooke, Que.

However, she's from the Sudbury area, and is a graduate of the Northern Ontario School of Medicine.

“Renée’s ideal bachelor is someone confident, funny, motivated, and down to earth,” said the show's website. “She is looking for a gentleman who pays attention to the small things, like opening the door for her.”

Sachelle Violette of Sudbury, a university recruitment co-ordinator, is also among the 25 bachelorettes who will appear on the show.

The reality television show premieres on City TV at 8 p.m. Sept. 18. For more information, visit www.bachelorcanada.ca.
