The India-Canada Association of Sudbury is holding a celebration of the Indian dance form Kathak at Sudbury Secondary School's Sheridan Auditorium starting at 7 p.m. Sept. 19.
Kathak is among the six major classical dances of India, and one of the most dynamic theatre arts in the world. The word Kathak is derived from katha, meaning “the art of storytelling.”
Award-winning Kathak dancer Richa Jain will be performing at the event.
