This installation is an invitation to truly be immersed in the artwork. A place to be offers a unique experience to enjoy and participate in the artists’ creative process.

Visitors can relax on a couch, which doubles as an art piece, while adding their own piece of art to one of the many sketch books laid out for public participation.

“It is rare that we have an interactive installation in our gallery space,” said Courtney Natale, business promotions co-ordinator for Artists on Elgin. “It is great to have this kind of variety between artists featured here, and even more fantastic when visitors get to participate in creating the art.”

King Gold will speak about her work at the exhibit's closing reception, slated to take place starting at 5 p.m. Oct. 30.

Artists on Elgin is located at 168 Elgin St., and is open Monday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
