Gavin Stephens brings his Uncanny Comedy Tour to Greater Sudbury in October.

Stephens is a stand-up comedian who skillfully balances between playful irony and morbid silliness. No two shows are ever the same.

Known for his (really) quick-wit and stream of consciousness comedic style, Stephens' live show consists of crowd work and improv, yet still manages to hit the crowd with sharp, innovative and satirical material.

Stephens was voted by Star TV as one of the “10 Funniest Canadians” and for five seasons was a star and writer on the Gemini-nominated sketch show Comedy Inc. on CTV.

A multi-media sensation, Stephens has filmed multiple one-man specials for The Comedy Network, has been a “Featured Comedian” on myspace.com and appeared at international festivals like Montreal’s Just For Laughs and Austin’s SXSW with indie comedy legends Margaret Cho, Janeane Garofalo and Andy Kindler.

He has toured throughout Canada, England, the U.S. and South Africa as a highly sought headliner with his one-man show “Meeting of The Audio Visual Squad”, his Lenny Bruce tribute nights “The Ghosts of Lenny Bruce” and as an acclaimed opening act for Russell Peters.

Stephens will be presenting two shows in the city.

He'll be performing starting at 9 p.m. Oct. 17 at Ferrigan’s Pub in Garson and at 8 p.m. Oct. 18 at Algoma Buddies in Chelmsford.

Tickets are $15 and on sale now at each venue. A group discount is also available for 10 or more people.
