Sudbury's Ukrainians set to celebrate

Want to take in some Ukrainian dancing or tysmbaly music? How about chow down on some cabbage rolls? Head to the Ukrainian National Federation hall on Frood Road Oct. 17-19 for the 40th annual Ukrainian Yarmarok Festival.

Want to take in some Ukrainian dancing or tysmbaly music? How about chow down on some cabbage rolls? Head to the Ukrainian National Federation hall on Frood Road Oct. 17-19 for the 40th annual Ukrainian Yarmarok Festival.

The event opens with a gala dinner starting at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 17. Tickets, which include a buffet dinner and entertainment by the Veselka Dance Ensemble and live music, cost $40 per person.

On Oct. 18 and 19, doors to the hall open at 11 a.m., with activities including live music, dancing, a traditional Ukrainian buffet, a penny table, raffles and children's activities. Admission is free.
