Are you a fan of both Halloween and hiking?
The Laurentian University Varsity Nordic Ski Team and Laurentian Nordic Ski Club have the event for you in their annual Trick or Trek haunted hike, set to take place starting at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 25.
Children between three and 10 years old are encouraged to participate from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., while those aged 10 and up should take part between 7:30 and 10 p.m.
“The annual event helps the Laurentian University Varsity Nordic Ski team raise funds to assist them in participating and travelling to racing events,” said ski club president Perry Sakki, in a press release.
“We enjoy having kids of all ages join us on our trails and participate in some pre-Halloween fun and exercise. It is an important event which exposes The Varsity team to the public and also encourages the public to be active and enjoy the outdoors. Our club promotes access to skiing for all ages and this event helps showcase the opportunities our trails offer to the public.
“We hope to once again welcome hundreds of children to the trails to have some fun, get spooked, and support our varsity ski members."
