Some Sudbury students will get a chance to take in some opera Nov. 14, when the Canadian Opera Company's Glencore Ensemble Studio School Tour visits MacLeod Public School.

The musicians, which will also be visiting Central Manitoulin Public School, Little Current Public School and A.B. Ellis Public School earlier in the week, are performing “The Bremen Town Musicians.”

“The opera was created by Canadian composer Dean Burry specifically for young audiences and features the rising stars of the COC Ensemble Studio,” a press release said.

“The Bremen Town Musicians” is an all-new production commissioned for the school tour and takes inspiration from a classic Grimm Brothers fairy tale.
