Dance Now!: Still time to sign up for new kids' dance classes

If your child can't help but move when music plays, perhaps Theatre Cambrian's new Dance Now program is just the thing.

Open to dancers of all styles and levels of experience, the program kicks off Nov. 29, so there's still time to sign up.

Run by accredited instructors for youth aged 6-19, classes will be held once a month from November to July.

Dancers ages 12-19 meet from 9 a.m. to noon, with the younger ones, aged 6-11, meeting from 1-4 p.m. Styles covered during the three-hour classes will include jazz, lyrical, hip hop, contemporary, modern, musical theatre and Bollywood.

Naturally, the program ends with a performance by the students of what they learned over the nine months.

Registration is $200 per child. For those who qualify financially, full funding is available from the Human League's PLAY program.
