Boost your fundraising with STC

Does your group meet their fundraising goal? The Sudbury Theatre Centre can help groups raise from $500 to $800 (or more) chocolate-free dollars.

STC has put aside nearly 400 tickets for the 2014/2015 season to help not-for-profit groups in the Sudbury region achieve their financial targets.

Simply put, each fundraising group, club, team or organization is supplied with 28 Sudbury Theatre Centre tickets, with the profits from the sale of those tickets amounting to between $500 and $800.

Cost to the organization is $10 per ticket (plus HST). By re-selling the tickets at from $35 to $40 (or more) per ticket, the organization can raise substantial funds. Since the STC adult price per ticket is $36.76, groups fundraising should feel comfortable selling tickets for at least $35-$40. Generally speaking, supporters of a community organization are quite happy to spend a few dollars more than retail price by way of support.

The shows up for grabs by the community include: Canadian story Mourning Dove, a powerful January drama: Broadway-winning Red; and the Italian hilarious comedy In Piazza San Domenico.

Also offered, a Young(ish) Company show There’s a Mouse in My House, based on the book by Sheree Fitch.

Because the tickets for non-professional show cost less, groups may receive more tickets to increase profits.

This fundraising initiative is available immediately to all not-for-profit groups including teams, school and church groups, cubs and brownies, community charity groups, etc.
