You will be “laughing all the way” this Ha-Ha-Ha-liday Season with 2011 Great Canadian Laugh Off winner Mark DeBonis and runner-up, Massimo, later this month in support of some great causes.

DeBonis and Massimo (who likes to be a billed by his first name only) will perform a special Boxing Day Show, Dec. 26 at Ferrigan’s Pub in Garson starting at 9 p.m.

It will be no regular Sudbury Saturday Night in Chelmsford Dec. 27 when the boys hit the stage at The Horse Tavern starting at 8 p.m. followed by local rockers the Sofa Kings.

“Both Mark DeBonis and Massimo are high energy comedians who will have the audience erupting with laughter all night” said Derek Young, from Forever Young Shows.

“It’s also important for us to reach out to the local community and support some great causes during the holidays, so we will be supporting the Infant Food Bank, Garson Community Food Bank and Friendship House in Chelmsford with a sizable donation from net ticket sales” Young added.

DeBonis is the 2011 Great Canadian Laugh Off Winner, which came with a $25,000 cash prize. In 2010 DeBonis also won the Canadian Comedy Awards. He was nominated for the Tim Sims Award in 2009, and was a finalist on XM Radio Canada’s Next Top Comedian. He is a regular on CBC Radio’s The Debaters, and has performed at the Just for Laughs Comedy Festival.

Massimo is originally from Montreal and recently moved to Toronto. His humour is edgy and provocative, yet smart and intelligent. He was a runner up in the 2011 Great Canadian Laugh Off and performs at numerous comedy clubs across Canada and the UK. He also performed at the Just for Laughs Comedy Festival. Hour Magazine calls him “A big loud Italian with a disarming soft side.”
