The beach may be covered in a blanket of snow right now, but “Baywatch” alum Pamela Anderson was in Greater Sudbury this past week shooting scenes for her latest film, Canadian indie flick “The People Garden,” at Northern Ontario Film Studios.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film, by writer-director Nadia Litz, stars Anderson as Signe, a former 1990s sex icon.

It also stars Dree Hemingway as a woman in Japan searching for her rock star boyfriend, as well as Francois Arnaud, James Le Gros, Liane Balaban and Jai West.

Litz's script for “The People Garden” won the audience prize at the 2013 Toronto International Fim Festival's Screenwriting Lab.

The website Screen Daily said the "The People Garden" is financed in participation with Telefilm Canada and the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund.

Anderson, 47, is originally from Ladysmith, B.C.
