Nuit sur l'étang to celebrate 42 years

One of the premiere events for Sudbury's Francophone community will kick off the night of March 28 at Laurentian University's Fraser Auditorium. The 42nd Nuit sur l'étang concert will start that night at 8 p.m.

One of the premiere events for Sudbury's Francophone community will kick off the night of March 28 at Laurentian University's Fraser Auditorium.

The 42nd Nuit sur l'étang concert will start that night at 8 p.m. with a performance from the Northern Ontarian trio Paquette-Aymar-Demers.

A number of artists from across the north will accompany them on stage.

Jazz artist Martine Fortin, who won the Chantons le 400e contest last year, will hit the stage next.

Temiscaming's Joëlle Roy will follow Fortin, and will share songs from her new album, Ce moment parfait.

The band Hey, Wow will headline the concert with Jean-Marc Lalonde.

The evening will end with the Nouvel-Ontario award, presented by Radio-Canada and Les Concerts La Nuit sur l'étang.
