Enjoy 'Suds, Slices and Sisu' at Jan. 30 fundraiser

The Suds, Slices and Sisu fundraiser for the Finlandia Sisu Charitable Foundation is back for a second year Jan. 30.

The event, which takes place starting at 7 p.m. at the Caruso Club, combines beer tasting and pizza pairing. The 2014 event raised more than $25,000.

“Once again, our friends at Stack Brewing will be supplying five of their finest brews for our guests to sample, including a couple of new selections,” said Kate Furlotte, the foundation's executive director.

“Along with the beer samplings, guests will also be enjoying five different kinds of pizza, which have been selected to ‘pair’ with each of the brews.

“This year we’re thrilled to have the Northern Noise Street Band providing entertainment. If you haven’t had a chance to see them perform, you’re missing something very special.”

Tickets cost $60 each, and are available at Lougheed’s on Regent, Finlandia Village, Stack Brewing or by phone at 705-524-3137. Safe rides home will be provided courtesy of the foundation.
