The year 2015 is going to be a big year for the Sudbury band Sea Perry, the year they enter the world of music in a big way.

Releasing their debut LP, “Do What You Do”, on April 21 and kicking off their first cross-country tour at the Townhouse the very next month (on May 22) scratches two goals from their 2015 to-do list.

Formed in 2013, the trio of Chris Milligan (guitarist/vocalist), Chad Bouchard (drums) and Shawn Fisher (bass) quickly formed a steadfast friendship.

They released a debut EP, “Why the Folk Not”, the same year and hit the stage at the Big Music Fest, Boots and Hearts and Northern Lights Festival Boreal.

Despite their big goals, the band takes it in a care-free, laid-back fashion, a fact that is reflected in their music.

“A lot of times we make stuff up on the fly,” Fisher told NorthernLife.ca. “It's just about having fun with friends.”

Sea Perry will be plying their trade at these far-flung locales over the next month or so:

05/22Sudbury, ON - The Townehouse
05/26 Winnipeg, MB - Purple Room
05/27 Regina, SK - Bushwakker
05/28 Calgary, AB - Broken City
05/31 Calgary, AB - Fourth Street Lilac Festival
06/04 Thunder Bay, ON - The Foundry
