The Art Gallery of Sudbury (AGS) is showcasing works from its permanent collection starting on April 17 in the exhibition “Figuratively Speaking.”
The opening reception goes from 5-7 p.m. this evening.
The exhibition explores art that assimilates the human form. It will feature a array of portraits, photographs, sculptures and full-body figurative drawings and paintings that are reflections of an artist's inspiration by photographs, still-life models or memory.
It runs until June 21.
AGS (251 John Street) is open Tue-Sat. from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday from noon to 5 p.m.
For more information about AGS, visit their website or call (705) 975-4871.
This exhibition is sponsored and supported by Northern Life, the Canadian Council for the Arts, Greater Sudbury, Ontario Arts Council, Nu-Look Paint and Wallpaper and Penguin Automated Systems Inc.
