Celebrate influential women in the north

Celebrate, honour and meet influential women from all over Northern Ontario at the year's Influential Women of Northern Ontario Awards in Sault Ste. Marie on May 25 and Thunder Bay May 28.

Launched in 1997 in order to seek out, honour and profile women in Northern Ontario who contribute to the North’s economic success and expansion, the Influential Women of Northern Ontario Awards (IW) have recognized over 100 influential women have since the program’s inception. The alumni roster continues to grow with 15 more women joining its esteemed alumni.

“This year’s event takes the celebration to a whole new level”, says event manager Kimberley Wahamaa. “The awards have always been held over lunch, and this year we will be celebrating over a Gala dinner”.

We are also offering a day program to the event, a luncheon workshop, in partnership with PARO Centre titled ‘Everyday Lean’. The session is led by Neha Singh from Timelined Consulting Inc. www.timelined.ca and focuses on creating more value for customers while using fewer resources.

The IW awards program is unique as it recognizes and celebrates winners in both Northeastern and Northwestern Ontario in two different cities. This year’s events will take place in Sault Ste. Marie on May 25 at the Comfort Suites & Conference Centre, and Thunder Bay on May 28 at the Valhalla Inn.
