Is Collège Boréal a good choice? Here are some numbers

For the 11th time in 14 years, Collège Boréal received the highest satisfaction rate in the province from its graduating students, according to Key Performance Indicators from Colleges Ontario.

For the 11th time in 14 years, Collège Boréal received the highest satisfaction rate in the province from its graduating students, according to Key Performance Indicators from Colleges Ontario.

This year, Boréal also had the second highest student satisfaction rating, as well as the second highest employer satisfaction rating in the province, a press release from the college said.

“Collège Boréal is very proud of its success among students, graduates, and employers,” said Boréal president Pierre Riopel, in the release.

Since 1998, the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities has retained the services of an independent firm to conduct surveys on the performance of programs and services offered by the 24 colleges in Ontario.

Here are some highlights:

Student Satisfaction:
-83 per cent indicate that Collège Boréal staff members truly care about their success; this result is 20% higher than the provincial average;
-92.1 per cent feel that Boréal provides all the necessary knowledge and skills required for the labour market;
-80.4 per cent are pleased with the overall quality of services offered by the college, 16.6% higher than the provincial average;
-91 per cent of students would recommend Collège Boréal.

Graduate Satisfaction:
-87.8 per cent of Collège Boréal graduates are satisfied or very satisfied with their college experience, earning Collège Boréal;
-93 per cent of graduates would recommend Collège Boréal as a first class postsecondary institution;
-93 per cent of Collège Boréal graduates would also recommend their program.

Graduation Rate and Employability;
-75 per cent of students enrolled at Collège Boréal have obtained their degree; this result is 9.3% higher than the provincial average;
-85.1 per cent of Collège Boréal graduates found a job in their field of study.

Employer Satisfaction:
-93.3 per cent of surveyed employers who hired Collège Boréal graduates are satisfied or very satisfied with their new employees;
-And, 96 per cent of surveyed employers would recommend hiring a Collège Boréal graduate.
