Jazz, pork and Perlhaze on the menu at Motley Kitchen

The Motley Kitchen is jazzing it up on April 23 with Toronto artists Sophia Perlman and Terra Hazelton, who are combining their talents into the duo PerlHaze for the next featured performance in the downtown eatery's Dinner & A Show series.

A veteran of the musical and theatre world since the age of four, Perlman has performed as a soloist and chorus member with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra and the Canadian Opera Company.

She was originally going to go solo April 23, but was so impressed by Terra Hazelton's April 9 performance at the Motley Kitchen she reached out and now the two performers are combining their skills.

The cost for Dinner & A Show is $50 (including HST) for tickets. Seats for the show only can be purchased in advance for $19. Pick up your tickets at the Motley Kitchen (70 Young St.) or call 705-222-6685 during business hours (Mon-Fri, 11 a.m. to 3 a.m.)

The menu will include:
- Succulent slow roasted BBQ pulled pork;
- zesty lemon oregano chicken;
- Sesame hoisin crispy fried tofu with peppers and onions;
- Rosemary scented jasmine rice pilaf;
- Fresh steamed garden vegetables tossed with garlic olive oil and dill;
- And for dessert, a sampling of homemade treats by Nicole

Doors open at 6 p.m. with buffet dinner served at 6:30 p.m. The show starts at 8 p.m.

The Dinner & A Show series is held in association with Northern Lights Festival Boreal.
