French Catholic students with a passion for the arts got some advice from the city's top Francophone artistic talent during the April 23-24 Mélomanie conference.

French Catholic students with a passion for the arts got some advice from the city's top Francophone artistic talent during the April 23-24 Mélomanie conference.

Among the guest speakers were actor and musician Stef Paquette, Métis educators Mélanie Smits and Rick Meilleur, artist Angelo Paquette, arts educator Pandora Topp and music producer François Labelle.

Mélomanie concluded with a set of performances for some 600 Grade 8 students from Greater Sudbury area French Catholic schools.

The concert featured musicians from ESC Franco-Ouest (Espanola), ES Notre-Dame-du-Sault (Sault Ste. Marie), ESC Jeunesse-Nord (Blind River), Collège Notre-Dame (Sudbury), ESC l’Horizon (Val Caron), and ESC Champlain (Chelmsford).
