Monster Olympics? Watch The Almighty Rhombus' quirky new vid

Sudbury band The Almighty Rhombus is nothing if not original.

The band recently released “Down South,” their latest music video.

“The song is a punchy power-pop tune from last year's 'Lucid Living,' and the music provides a peppy backdrop for a light-hearted tale about a big purple monster competing in a track and field event dubbed the Monster Olympics,” the band said.

The music video, shot partly at the Laurentian University track, was directed by Shawn Kosmerly.

The Almighty Rhombus heads out on tour from April 30 to May 23, visiting cities in Ontario, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, PEI and Quebec.
