For the past few months, a unicorn mask-clad Timmins high school student has been spotted around town, spreading cheer among his fellow citizens.

Timmins Today recently caught up with the man behind the mask — Jesse Beaulieu, a Grade 10 student at École Secondaire Thériault.

Recent appearances include the Northern Ontario Expo and a visit to city hall to meet Mayor Steve Black. There's even been a recent push to have The Unicorn featured on Ellen Degeneres' talk show.

“It all started when I bought it,” Beaulieu said. “Someone came up to me and said 'Do you want to take a picture?' and I said 'Why not?' Then I realized that it was a good deed, so I kept with it.”
