Like most kids, Grade 4 and 5 students at Chelmsford École Alliance St-Joseph are big fans of everything sweet.

Thus, it's not surprising they looked forward to reading the Roald Dahl classic, “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,” which they are studying for their English language arts course — with great enthusiasm, of course.

But not so fast! Before diving into the strange and magical world of Willy Wonka and his wonderful chocolate factory, and actually reading the book, the students must receive a golden ticket that proves their knowledge of chocolate.

How do they go about getting their ticket? By studying the history of chocolate and learning how's it's manufactured into a tasty treat.

It's a fun and engaging way of getting the students into reading.
